hi, I'm after your advice on the best way to tackle this probem

I need to fit a frameless glass wetroom/shower panel. The channel is wall fixing, however there are 2 rows of bridge/pencil border tiles running around the room including in the shower area so the channel does not fit flush against the wall, since the bridge tiles protrude out.

Obviously a floor fixing panel doesn't solve the problem as the glass still wouldn't sit flush against the wall

I could possibly shave out some of the back of channel like a half moon to fit over the bridge tiles?

Or angle grind the entire wall, which I'd be nervous about messing up

Any other suggestions?

Hindsight is great..should have recessed the damn channel into the wall prior to tiling which I'm now kicking myself over

Any advice greatly appreciated

Yes I've got spare tiles

I guess it's too risky to cut it all out & recess now so peed off with myself

Masking tape to mark up where you need to cut the border tiles and with a steady hand, cut away the proud sections with a grinder.
Cut as deep as you can and then with a hammer and small bolster chip away the offending bits.
Once the channel is in and siliconed, you'll never know.

Cheers impish that sounds like the best plan. They're ceramic tiles & I have a few spare,

Do you think the wall fixed channels are better than the floor fixed?

Pretty much all the screens I install are wall channel only, perhaps with a support arm or two depending on the size.

Cheers. Got to do my ensuite next, if I recess that does it have to be a specific channel made for recessing or can I recess just the standard channel?

I hate recessed channels. They're a faff to install and ruin/limit any future alterations.
Far better to get a slim channel that can be bonded to the tiles in my opinion.
