    Morning Everyone,

We were just talking about knee pads and were wondering what type / style people tend to prefer?

Your opinions on this would be gratefully received :)

    Thanks
    Sam

Morning Sam. I tend to wear the foam pads that insert into my Helly Hansen trousers for everyday work and small floors. For large floors I wear redbacks.

When I'm wearing shorts in the summer I will wear my DeWalt knee pads

Thanks for the speedy replies, Is there anything you think we could add to our current selection of knee pads? Possibly some more "in trouser" options as currently we only have the redbacks.

Julian which leather ones do you wear?

    Thanks again
    Sam

wp_ss_20170516_0001.png I have always gone back to these after trying many others. In trouser one don't last for me as I ware a hole though to quickly.
nice and flat on ground when kneeling and good strap unless you chuck it in a bucket with a little water in at days end , strap disintegrates.

If you could decent trousers at the right price that would take snickers floor layer pads with holster pockets you would probably do well . But their will be a bit of trial and error as to how good they are. I've tried others but end up back at snickers

Thanks for that Lee, i will take a look into sourcing those as it may be a good one for us to stock.

In terms of shin support we have had some good feedback on the Fento 400:

I wear the black rubi ones that clip on for when I'm up and down but if I'm on a big floor I've got the big red alpro ones which are real nice and comfortable but a bit big to wear all the time

I use to wear the Alpro ones, but imo even the Fento 200's are much better.
They don't cake up with addy as much on the front and are much lighter.

Would like to see Snickers floor layers trousers and the D30 pads being sold at a more competitive price. Together they are the best I've ever tried.

Alpros for me, best I've ever tried. That said I wear shorts most of the time and they do start to rub a bit when I get a bit sweaty! I combat this by taking it easy and stopping for a brew if I get too hot!

I'm currently wearing these, actually quite impressed, very comfortable on the floor.
Well they were, until one day I was lazy and as my left knee slipped to the top corner and didn't bother readjusting it, it has now collapsed.
    Not happy about that.

    Knee pads

The Marshalton ones have studs on both side of knees and you have to watch you don't scratch or leave metal marks on some tiles if your knee rolls a bit. The Kuny ones are good aswell but just have to watch the studs also. I have worn them for years but lately started getting cramps all night in the legs and was found to be the straps causing damage to veins at the back of my knees. I bought the floor layers plus the d30 pads and they are the best I've had, Marc. I know expensive but pair of good trousers plus pads for the price of 2 pairs of good kneepads and you can wash the knees when covered in adhesive and grout to keep them clean.

try them ( Marshalton ) there's no way to roll them.

in trouser ones I found I was going though the knees within a couple to four months.
