Hi

I’ve seen the video for the Montolit STL discs that can cut and grind but before I bite the bullet and spend £90 odd on a 4” grinder disc, I wondered if there are any other cheaper alternatives for grinding down or cleaning up tile edges (or bevelling even)?

Don’t have many issues with ceramics but the odd porc gives me a poor edge occasionally that’s frustrating if on a window reveal. Any advice or recommendations?

New tool Saturday.

This is the disc.

The concept is for me to try this as originally I was looking at a backing pad and pads (which may still happen). I can post some images later of its effect if you want.

3_fall back in 2017 (tools forum) posted some videos 'The difference between wet and dry cutting with a grinder.' Which is worth a look reference this topic. I haven't tried a wet sponge the rear of the blade.
I will try and replicate later and see what the electroplated grinding disc does.

It's a possibility 3_fall -I wouldn't like to pass judgement just at this stage

The link is that one is using this fandangled electroplated disc to improve the tile edge and you posted some videos of wet cutting with a grinder.

Ok (wasn't specifically trying to tag you tho -to reduce annoyance over a less importance).

I also use that disk, it’s good for fine smoothing and removing limited amount of material, it’s not for removing 5mm off a cut etc
