yes Harry, I have to agree.
I've used it for years and never seen anywhere it needs an addmix for ufh.
the staff at my local CTD where never aware of this and have not given this info out.
and just checking the website of weber it isn't clear still

I have not had any failures (so far) and will never be using weber again.
as you say Harry, maybe had some problems, we will never know. But I find there behaviour to be under hand to say the least.

@Joe Parker you have to remember, most of us are simple tiles and need clear and concise information in big letters on the front of products we may buy.

Thanks for the feedback, I can see this isn't as clear as it should be and I am now talking with the Product Manager for tile to be aware of this.

We are currently in the process of updating the datasheets, but as the manufacturer we will only be able to endorse the usage of weberset plus with the addition of AD250 for use on UFH.

I apologise on behalf of the team as this hasn't been as clear as it could have been.

I know Harry, but to be fair the manager of my CTD was very well informed and made it a point of knowing his products. But what could he do if it said suitable for ufh on the bag and know mention of an add mix being needed on bag or website.

I think weber have dropped the ball and in my mind there is no coming back

I am understanding this right . It said suitable for ufh on the front but said about admin on the back .

no Jerry, it said suitable for ufh on the front, no mention of an add mix on back of the weber set plus eco bags and if it was on the data sheet it was not clear or easily found, I've never saw it.

So are you also In the process of contacting all of your retailers to say that this product isn't suitable for ufh without addition of ad250 .

Not a great time for Weber. I imagine their market share has been eaten into massively over the last few years. This certainly won't help.
Still No. 2 with 17% of the https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ choice behind 24% of the leader in ‘Which https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ did you use most in 2018’ Poll.
This is just one of many products that Weber do and with respect you shouldn’t assume anything. As professionals product knowledge is a basic requirement so keeping up with changes is paramount.
To confirm my https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ choice - Weber - for price, availability and performance.

I was weber for at least 10 years and I my local CTD branch biggest sole trader in buying https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/, so bought alot of it. And I voted for them in the latest poll, and said I'd changed without saying why.
The reason for the change was that removed / changed / modified what my go to https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ was suitable for, and didn't like the way they did it.
I feel I should have to read the front/ back of https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/, check data sheet every time I buy a bag or 10.

With respect John I'll assume what I like as it is my opinion. It's also an unregulated trade with a lot of diy'ers as you know. Also, the poll on this forum does not represent market share as most of the tilers I know don't use the forum.

Totally see your view point and your reasoning. I’d be annoyed myself after using an https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ for that long.

Ok - So it’s not worth doing any polls then !
I can only quote what the forum users are using - that’s the purpose. It’s for those who may wish to express a preference and my post was in response to your claim that Weber may be suffering in their market share. Clearly still being 2nd would mean that the opinions of others is just as important.
