Any advice on the above.

A newly screeded conservatory floor. A small, about a foot square, external plastic drain cover in the middle of the screed. Client would like me to tile over it but my concern is that it being plastic, it would react differently to the concrete. It's also in direct sunlight for at least half the day. Ideas?

Time's Ran Out

First of all establish what it’s for!
They will tell you they’ve been there 20 years and never been in it! As soon as it’s covered they’ll need an emergency access and it’s your fault.
Frame it out with tile trim and make your own removable hatch, silicone the joint and your good to get paid. As @jcrtiling it could well be illegal to tile over.
I’ve made a manhole into a ‘well’ in a conservatory before. Glass frame around glass and a false recess a couple of feet down with a light - just to make it a feature. I was younger then, full of ideas - now I’d just tile over it and say nowt!
