    hi

I want to add a shower to a bath but the room only has wallpapered plasterboard, not sure what type.
Can I tank onto it, or strip the wallpaper first?

    Thanks

Assuming plasterboard is sound, ( able to support tile) remove wallpaper, key and prime board, tank and tile.

    Good luck.

I guess it would depend on the pattern of the wallpaper.
    Really - take it off.

Cut with a knife and plenty of warm water.
    Or use a steam stripper.
