Good morning all. Had a friend round last night who insists tile should be butted up close to each other in the bath inner corner with no gap. (but how would you silicon with no gap) Just wondering if pros leave a gap or not? If so I will have to remove them and get them closer, which I rather redo if that's the correct way.

As always any help is appreciated

I’ll leave a of a couple of mil too, no bigger. I don’t like leaving to big of a gap as it can make silicone a bit awkward to look nice.

If there is no gap, you’ll be relying on on a seal to the face only. With a gap you can force more in for a deeper seal.

Given the two walls are separate I would also leave a gap for movement and expansions which also leaves room for your flexible sealant of choice.
2mm is what I use after reccomendatiosn from here (also the walls I have tiles the two walls forming the corner have not always been at the same angle from the floor).
Like the tiles.
