I have an area of 35msq to tile using 440mm sq Porcelain tiles.
Kitchen, utility, shower room, lobby and porch.
Screeded in Jan 2018 is traditional off the back of a lorry, barrowed in with fibre.
There is paint on the screed off the walls and a few other marks as well. So mainly round the edge of the screed.
Have been using the kitchen to make door linings and skirting so lots of dust.
Swept and vacuumed up.
Qs.
1. Best way to remove or minimise the paint and plaster marks on the screed?
Drum sander from a hire shop?
Tried a 3" belt sander and it scraped some paint off, tried a wire brush and that worked ok but a lot of effort.
2.Prime the screed or not?
Most advice is to prime but this seems directed at pumped screed.
Thanks
