Schlüter-Systems Education Centre
The Schlüter-Systems Education Centre is the heart of Schlüter-Systems Ltd office. Based in Coalville, Leicestershire, the SSEC is a brand new facility that houses not only the UK team, but boasts a training centre where practical and theoretical training is delivered to installers, specifiers and resellers, in our seminar rooms and purpose-built workshop spaces.
Our workshops take in to account British Standards and best practice and have been specifically designed with you in mind and feature classroom, demonstration and practical hands-on guidance in a relaxed open forum environment.

Course: Substrate Preparation and Schlüter®-WETROOMS
1 day course with an overnight stay the night before and all meals provided.
Preparation is key to a perfect installation, during the morning workshop we will discuss, demonstrate and you’ll get hands-on with our range of complete solutions for substrates, waterproofing, uncoupling, underfloor heating and drainage systems. During the wetroom portion of the day, we will focus on ensuring that our CE marked waterproofing and drainage system solution is understood, making the installer’s job simple and secure with peace of mind.

Mobile Education Centre
Launched in 2014, the MEC is used to deliver training events at various locations, such as distributor and retailers throughout the country.
The MEC allows our experts to give demonstrations with products such as Schlüter®-KERDI and illustrate the best installation methods for our products. The MEC facilitates the opportunity for installers to see and understand the products for themselves and the duration and content can be tailored to suit your exact needs.
Our MEC training on ‘Integrated Solutions for Wetrooms’, for example, delivers the following:
- Benefits of integrated systems for wetrooms vs. multi-manufacturer combined offerings
- How point drains and linear drains can be hidden or accent the design
- A complete CE marked waterproofing solution – the requirements of waterproofing and how an integrated system offers the complete peace of mind
- The difference between waterproof and water-resistant tile backerboards – not are all equal!
