As the Plumbers forum is down i thought i would put my time to good use with you Gents.

Aside from my day to day business plumbing and heating i am currently starting up another business, kiln forming recycled glass bottles into everyday object you can use.

i would be grateful for recommendations on drill bits diamond or otherwise in 4,5,6,8mm that will last a decent amount of drilling. subject to any necessary cooling.

thanks in advance

Electroplated holesaws used wet from 6mm upwards.

For tiny holes like 4mm and 5mm you're probably better off looking at diamond burrs which are generally used for jewellery work on dentist drills or dremel type machines.

Search for "lapidary" suppliers if you want diamond burrs.

The problem with drilling at that size is there's only so much diamond you can attached to something that's 4mm or 5mm and by default they don't last very long.
