hello all,
i'm just about to start tiling my bathroom and thinking to use those levelling spacers, are they recommended ?
i have some 300*200 *8mm ceramic tiles.
i have an ardex sealing kit for around bath.
guess i'll get ardex adhesive ?
the walls aren't very flat , a mix match of plastersboards with dips.
i'm unsure how much adhesive to put behind 2mm or 3 mm ?
i need to use 3mm spacers between the tiles.
i have seen soem videos on youtube and thinking those ones with a hand turn circle maybe best choice.
all advice welcome , i haven't done any tiling in 10 years.
thank you.

Personally I wouldn’t use tile level systems with anything under 600x300mm tiles. Spend your time not looking for them and your cash sorting the walls so that they are flat and true and make it easier for yourself. IMO tile levellers used incorrectly will make a worse job than if you didn’t use them at all. Also you will need a trowel with at least 6mm notch but 8mm be better.

All well and good, unless the tiles are warped.

thanks for the tips.
so if i get an 8mm notch trowel does that mean adhesive will be 4mm thick when tile pushed right back ?
i was hoping to use minimal adhesive behind and 8mm edging trim just fits the tile because they do bevel small amount .
maybe need to use 10mm trims instead.
another question is what's best to do at end of bath i'm fitting a shower screen ? should i fit screen first and tile upto it or fit tiles first and go beyond bath couple of inches and tile right down to floor ?
it would be easier to fit screen first and look better but guess not as water tight ?

8mm notch and you can put some small plastic tile wedges between trim and wall to set over tile edge. Draw a plumb line from very edge of bath start trim then tile from line, shower screen fitted onto tiles sitting centre of bath edge width for bottom of screen. IMO.
