Sorry no pics never thought to back then, 3mm spacer looked like a 4-5mm joint when grouted.

Thanks. The reason we went for rectified was to avoid joints bigger than 2-3mm. I guess it’s a personal preference at the end of the day.

Really? I’m being told it definitely won’t look right and it will be difficult to lay without the tiles stepping.

Do you have any pictures of the finished floor ? How big was the grout join?
The stepping statement would bother me . What does he mean by that .

On one

The way I see it is......because the angle of the arris is different from tile to tile,even if you maintain a 3mm grout line using a 3mm spacer,once the tiles are grouted you will get a differing width grout line from tile to tile because of the different angle of the arris's?......some 3mm,some 5mm?
