Not sure what 5 spot means? Is this a middle ground between the regular dewalt lasers and the super duper one ?

i think its something to do with if you stare at it long enough you get 5 spot vision.. i could be wrong

Generally I think gives 4 dots, one on each wall, then one on the floor.
But it will be a combination that is similar.
It's not a middle ground because the
'super duper one'
as you put it, is only £25 more.
