I'm going to be installing marmox boards in my new bathroom onto the brick walls using the dot and dab and dowel fixing method but would just like to clarify what to do at the joints.
In wet areas I've read that you use the marmox waterproof sealing tape and dry/damp areas just self adhesive reinforcing tape. In the dry/damp areas should the tape be covered in a layer of flexible tile adhesive, is that a stupid question? On some of the marmox instructions I've also read that the board edges should have a layer of sealant applied to create a waterproof joint - if the edges are waterproofed in this way why the need for the extra waterproof sealing tape?

Thanks

Your right with the water proof tape in wet areas and reinforcing tape in dry areas. No need to use sealer on the joints, Unless you want to, it wouldn’t hurt. The reinforcing tape needs some tile adhesive over it but that will happen when you tile it if you don’t do it before
