Fitting a glass panel using a u channel - Tile Advice

Are there any negatives to fitting a stainless steel u channel on top of a shower tray to support a glass panel? It will not be a wet room.

No negatives as such, but I advise you use a quality clear silicone or plastic channel seal. Ensure its well braced to the wall too

Thanks, Plan Tec Tiling. It will be braced to the wall and a good quality clear silicone will be used.

Waluigi, because the glass panel comes with a clear plastic channel that I thought might get mucky.

I fit wet room panels to trays all the time. Never have I done anything other than rest the glass on the tray and clear silicone. A channel is another thing to get dirty IMO
