have done plenty of UFH electric mats under tiles, & plenty wetrooms with tanking.

However, I have never incorporated both..

Is tanking done under or over electric mat?

Is it ok to bring UFH mat onto shower former?

Cheers!

Hello!
Good question, and one which has come up before and showed differing opinions. Some tank the room then fit ufh and levelling and others fit the ufh, slc then tank, which is what I do. what method of tanking are you using ? You can take the heating onto the former, but not too close to the waste, 150mm away from it.

Evening,
I was told ufh first then tank.
The reasoning being that the screed shouldn't be gotten wet so, it's protected by the tanking.

As above, we recommend all our customers to lay the UFH then SLC then tank. Make sure the heat element is kept away from the drain as well, if not it'll heat up the waste water and cause a funny smell.
