Hi,

I'm looking for a bathroom fitter & tiler for a full refurb of a ~2.1m x 2.4m ground floor bathroom in Woking, Surrey.

We've had a leak behind the shower (the shower panels/unit and some tiles have been removed), and the bathroom is currently being dried out, so am looking for someone to start in the next 3 to 6 weeks ideally.

I have a reasonably good list of most of the stuff I want - including porcelain tiles by RAK ceramics, although for some things I need some advice on feasibility, and haven't sourced anything yet.

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, I have! Although was unsure if those companies were bathroom fitters as well as tilers? Or is that generally not a good idea and I should be looking for specialists in both?

Some of our members are complete bathroom fitters and tilers, although I could only point to a few, and they are exceptional tradesman.
When it comes to choosing a contractor, the best advice I could give is to, get more than one quote and to research them as much as much as you can before making your decision.
Check their website if they have one, look over their portfolio, you'd normally expect them to have one or the other, ask to visit a previous job.
People love showing off their showpiece floor or ensuite.
I've had perspective clients visit me on site to see what I'm up to, and they will always return the favour by offering their home as a showpiece.
Most importantly, never base your decision on price alone.
If everyone did that, I'd always be out of work. :)
It's safe to say, unfortunately, even with all that you can still make a bad choice, but you'll improve your chances of getting a good tradesman 10 fold.
Good luck.
