I'm after a wetroom former for a 1 way fall 1500 wide x 900/1000 out
Linear tray to run along the 1500 side

Cheapest quote I've had is Novellini at £650+vat!!!

Surely there must be a cheaper alternative?

If not, would it be possible to build this myself, if so how? Dukkaboards?

Have spent hours ringing around & googling. No joy, please help!

Yes you can build them yourself... but you can also buy two wedge boards ( that is what they call them) and join them together to make the size you want

Cheers Tom was hoping you'd be along!

What materials do you use to make your own?

It's for a timber deck

I would use the wedge shaped linear tray formers, sat (glued) on to 18mm wbp ply. You need to establish a FFL so that you can set your base height level to incorporate the tiles and adhesive.

You could just use flat 20mm insulation boards and create your own falls using tile adhesive, sloped towards the drain but this is quite difficult to do for a novice.

Got you. I can't find a pre made former that's 1500x900/1000 - apart from Novellini which is over £700. Drain needs to be on the long 1500 side

Any ideas? Thanks

yes buy 2 or 3 0f the slimmer ones and lay them side by side - taped with tanking tape and cut to the desired length.

Sorry just to be clear, buy 2 of the one way formers & join them? Any you particularly recommend that don't break the bank?!

To be fair... what you are wanting to do is quite a unique job............ why do you think that should be cheap?

Fair point. Just don't want to spend a fortune if there are alternative/more cost effective ways that's all.

So 2/3 formers joined together?
