I've been looking at tiling courses recently and seen a lot of courses through training providers like Able Skills. I also came across a manufacturer who does training courses and not sure if these will be better or worse.
Has anyone tried this Dunlop tiling course? I think the introduction...
Is this stuff any good for a bathroom and shower area, ceramic metro tiles 100x200?
Only asking as its in Selco so would be easy for me to get.
And also, what is the optimal spacer size for these small tiles, im thinking 2mm or 1.5mm is ok?
Dunlop SPF is considerably less expensive than Bal's - at less than half price.
I've used Dunlop's and taken the floor up in a bathroom, and it seemed to perform well, though it hadn't had much water on it during that time.
Anyone reccomend Dunlop's product alongside Bal etc?

Hi
Hope you can help. I employed a local tiler to do by bathroom with large format 600x300 Porcelain glazed tiles (9mm thick). He has finished the job and all looks great. He recommended I seal the grout so I bought some sealer...........then the worries began...............I asked him for...
I'd be interested to hear everyone's thoughts on how the following adhesive makers match up against each other:
Granfix, Mapei, Dunlop and Ultra
Your thoughts please....
Anyone got any thoughts on the Dunlop range of adhesives. I have used there SPF a few times now and been quite impressed.
The bags are very heavy duty for a start, much better than mapei and weber, and similar to BAL. Pot life was spot on and really set nicely on a primed concrete floor...
Went into a tile store today looking for bathroom floor tiles, got talking to the bloke there about backer boards prices onto my T&G wood floor, he said just use Dunlop Tile on Wood adhesive straight onto the floorboards.
Anyone had any experience of this product?

I have bought the Dunlop Waterproofing Kit for my shower area (and if some is left over I may put some over bath).
My shower area is Hardibacker board on a stud wall, with a built in recess for shower gel and the like. I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can guide me on?

Hi,
Ive just found 2 x1kg of Dunlop Flexi Additive, & Bal admix GT1 in the shed.
Im laying a floor on Friday onto 18mm ply using 600x300 copper honed slate tiles, I would normally just use a cement based flexi adhesive.
Can I/shall I add one of these to the adhesive too?

My shower is 1200 x 800 in a recess (that is 3 sides will be tiled). Total area being 8sqm.
I can't seem to find any information about what area coverage is provided by the Dunlop Waterproofing kit.
Although the more expensive Bal WP1 kit seems to cover 4.5sqm.
Does anyone know?
Hi I am about to use one of these kits to waterproof a new shower area, I have never done this before, which one should I use and which one is the most user friendly?
Also where can I go and buy them I need it today ideally?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

I ordered 3 20kg tubs of Dunlop 2 part rapid flex addy for tiling travertine in my small bathroom before joining this forum, now after reading several posts on it - I am regretting ordering the stuff!
I have also got a load of their flexi grout on order too
Question is, is it really...
I know I'm a tight git but what else could I use this 2 year old Dunlop addy for if I can't use it for sticking down tiles?
The bags are perfectly dry. I was thinking of using it for levelling out walls etc.
