bathroom
A bathroom or washroom is a room, typically in a home or other residential building, that contains either a bathtub or a shower (or both). The inclusion of a wash basin is common. In some parts of the world e.g. India, a toilet is typically included in the bathroom; in others, the toilet is typically given a dedicated room separate from the one allocated for personal hygiene activities. In North American English the word 'bathroom' is sometimes used to refer to any room in a residence that contains a toilet, regardless of the inclusion of a bath or shower.
Historically, bathing was often a collective activity, which took place in public baths. In some countries the shared social aspect of cleansing the body is still important, as for example with sento in Japan and the "Turkish bath" (also known by other names) throughout the Islamic world.

Hi everyone
I'm having my bathroom redone and they've been here today tiling the walls. I'm a little concerned that the job they've done isn't great with a change in the gap/alignment of the tiles. I've attached some examples of what I mean.
I was wondering if I could get a second opinion and...

Should I prime bare plaster in the bathroom with SBR before tiling? I've heard it will help with the water resistance and help the tile adhesion. The tile sizes are 600x300.
Any help would be appreciated,
Cheers Brian.
I'm going to tile walls and floors of my bathrooms. It appears at the moment the walls are a single layer of painted plasterboard (ca. 12mm).
What is your advice on how to prepare the walls for tiling? Is the plasterboard sufficient to hold the tiles or will I need to remove it and install...

Hi, In the space of a couple of weeks my beautiful gray/ block stone bathroom tiles on the floor of the shower have developed white spotty patches in various locations. What are these marks ? Apparently we have soft water and thus it’s unlikely to be calcium or hard water stains.
I did change...
I am planning on doing my bathroom up in January so I'm needing to get everything bought before. I am using 600x600 porcelain tiles for the floor and 300x600 porcelain tiles (3.4kg a tile) for the wall, I know it will be powder tile adhesive required but I cant find any which states it would...
Hello, I can cope with cosmetic problems but the tiler is 3/4 way through and I noticed he is using random blobs of cement not spreading it over the tile. There are big gaps between the tiles and the edges have no adhesive. It is behind sink and loo and around the bath and a new shower at one...
