bathroom
A bathroom or washroom is a room, typically in a home or other residential building, that contains either a bathtub or a shower (or both). The inclusion of a wash basin is common. In some parts of the world e.g. India, a toilet is typically included in the bathroom; in others, the toilet is typically given a dedicated room separate from the one allocated for personal hygiene activities. In North American English the word 'bathroom' is sometimes used to refer to any room in a residence that contains a toilet, regardless of the inclusion of a bath or shower.
Historically, bathing was often a collective activity, which took place in public baths. In some countries the shared social aspect of cleansing the body is still important, as for example with sento in Japan and the "Turkish bath" (also known by other names) throughout the Islamic world.
Hello all,
We've had our bathroom done approx. a year ago now - using large white gloss tiles with a border tile in the middle.
From what I recall - the wall was taken back to brick (its an outside facing wall) and re-done.
Two of the large tiles - top most one touching the corner of the...
My favourite customers of over 8 years have moved house and this is the first of 5 bathrooms/ensuites ending with 130m2 floor.

Tiles came off the walls in seconds with no damage to substrate as...
Hi I’d be very grateful for advice. I had a bathroom fitted a couple of months ago and have just noticed that many of the metro tiles have spidery cracks in them. There is no pattern to them - some cracks run up through a couple of tiles but they’re not all adjacent. I’m sure they weren’t there...
Tiler used dot dab on bathroom tiles but saying it’s not a problem. What can we reasonably expect to happen here?

Hello, am new here, I’m a homeowner looking for advice on fixing what appears to be a botched bathroom refit approx 3 years ago (single contractor did the lot singlehandedly, walls & floor retiled and new suite) with multiple issues. Issues became apparent with crumbling grout, I didn’t...
Hi,
We are in the middle of having our bathroom tiled and we are worried about how the tiler is going about cutting around pipes / taps.
Would you say these cuts show in the photos are acceptable?
Appreciate the help.
Thanks

Hi guys I have a question about tiling large 800x800 tiles on floor and walls in a bathroom with a walkin shower. I'm thinking it would be easier to tile the floor first and cover them with protective foil. And then cut the first row of tiles to a laser line level starting from the floor up. The...
