I'm sorry to hear a lot of people have been slow. I've been slow lately too. Some how got lucky with this big job. Before that i was sitting on my butt for almost a month straight.
Working on a job about 1800 sq ft over in Richmond, TX. Doing cuts right now. Cuts will take another 2 days most likely then grout and trim. Not too much furniture so it's going smoothly. Hope everyone is doing good.
The company I work for sells Mapei LFT for thinset. I use the rapid setting mortar as well. As well as their crack isolation membrane. They work great. The beef I have with Mapei is their grout. The colors know how to be inconsistent and unfortunately the company I work for also sells the rapid...
If you're able to get Mapei rapid setting large format tile thin set in your area then I would go for it. I use it when I need to grout the same day as installation on smaller jobs. It is the fastest drying thin set I know of. Just be sure you are confident in your lines because this stuff dries...

I'm personally responsible for 2 years, anything after that, the company pays is responsible. I always make sure that the floor is clean of all dust, particles, and debris before I install. If you aren't back buttering then it's important to push down and side to side to ensure the tile is...

I do everything. Floors, stairs, showers, back splash. I've been doing a lot of floors because we had a big hurricane last year. Showers are my favorite, simply because I'm in one spot and I'm off my knees. How about you? Do you get a lot of new construction or a lot of remodels?
If it's as simple as it looks it could be useful for circular cuts around toilet flanges and floor outlets. Just weary about buying too many tools I might not ever use. I bought a sigma Jolly Edge and I'm worried I'll never use it.
