Evening all,
Been to look at 80m2 of 22 mm limestone flagstone to be installed onto limescreed with wet ufh.never tiled onto this kind of screed before so after recommendations as to Addy's and primers and sealer to use.oh,there are some underlations in screed so hoping there's a sl out there...
Your right about the moisture being pushed into the walls if you totally tank or waterproof the floor.Personally I would contact a tile manufacturer and ask they're opinion.i know that bal's flexbone membrane allows for moisture release but not sure if it would be suitable for this purpose
Nothing wrong with tiling direct to pb unless the tiles or stone weigh over 32 kg a m2(this includes for Addy +grout).
Deffo tank any wet areas first to make sure water can't absorb into the pb
If you have a grinder with good blade why don't you try scoring the tile with the cutter then carefully grind the edge ?finish off by using a diamond polishing block(
200 grit roughly)
Hi,lovely tiles btw.the company that supply the tiles deal with ardex and lithofin which are great products..you can go wrong with them👍
Keep the marble spotless when installing and make sure to listen to instructions on sealing the stone(especially before grouting)😊
When laying brickbond your substrate has to be very good to start.levelling clips will deffo help but aren't the magic cure.again it depends on substrate and tile.if the edges of the tile are rectified this will show lippage more.why not try starting a few rows to see,if not either go a third...
