Weber still my go to adhesives, would I still use Weber set plus ? Yes, if I’m unsure I’ll add some Weber ad250 admixture. I have never had a failure with any Weber adhesive. Weber SPF rapid is my normal one for ufh and floors in general but only because I want it to dry quicker. Even my hoodie says love Weber and their new premium grout is the dogs danglies!

Checked out my son's fireplace walls on Sunday a week after I used 12mm Hardiebacker stuck on with Weber set plus with the AD250 primer mixed in, it's as solid a rock ,oh i did forget to mention I also primer the wall surface prior to fixing with AD250.
I'll be keeping the faith with Weber

Andy you asked the question to start the discussion off on the
11-2-19 on the 13-2-19 you posted the spec & circled suitable for heated floors, so were's it mis-leading
Where in that red circle does it say "but only if used with AD250"?

Really? Do you have to ask? What's your take on "misleading"?

Also, look at the sheet Julian posted on page 2.... it says to use AD250, only on timber floors, no mention of UFH.

And just to add...
On the old bags on the front it said suitable for UFH.....and no mention of using an admixture...

@Andy Rhodes
Have you actually read this thread ??
It's quite simple...
One minute Weber say it's suitable for UFH.
And now they say not....
However this is after me and a fair few other excellent tilers have already used it on UFH...

In answer to your question?
Always said on the bags suitable for UFH, notice today it's disappeared off the bag.....
Web site, pdf, and technical advice all seem sketchy..?
Any one know if the format has been changed...? Yes I read the thread
In answer to Paul's before your reply I've seen Julian posted on
page 2.... it says to use AD250, only on timber floors, no mention of UFH,which Julian got off the technical data sheet 11-025 Weberset plus that document has 2 pages ,on the second page under the heading underfloor heating/undertile warming on a solid substrates
it quotes ,The heat must be turned off & should been turned on gradually at least 5 days after tiling. If the substrate is timber it must be over boarded & Weber AD250 used in the mix.
I was always taught that if you are unsure about a product read the technical data sheets provided by the manufacturer.

on the second page under the heading underfloor heating/undertile warming on a solid substrates it quotes ,The heat must be turned off & should been turned on gradually at least 5 days after tiling. IF THE SUBSTRATE IS TIMBER it must be over boarded & Weber AD250 used in the mix.

Show me where it says "if it is a heated screed or an electric system over a sand/cement substrate, you must add AD250"..........

Its now a blanket instruction on underfloor heating, regardless of substrate, that an additive is used!!! So yeah, pretty misleading in my book.

How much is a bag and bottle of that any way . Surely there are cheaper reliable single parts that will do that job .

As i was asked a couple of hours ago,
Have you actually read this thread ?
In my last quoted,
The heat must be turned off & should been turned on gradually at least 5 days after tiling. If the substrate is timber it must be over boarded & Weber AD250 used in the mix.
It only mentions adding AD250 if the substrate is timber,
I didn't say it should be added AD250 to the adhesive if your going on sand & cement screed or have I said this, yes i have mentioned that I have put mixed it with set plus earlier in this thread but that's because I made a conscious decision to do so as I thought it was the right call, so agree or disagree with what I've said.
In question to how much I pay for Weber & the AD250 £20.50 roughly + vodka & tonic
