I thought it was stone!
Cheek! That's travertine I'll have you know! The nice man cut a tile diagonally for me and the corner (no gunk) so I have two shelves. No metal shower shampoo shelf (and drilling into my nice tiles) for me!!!!

Nice spacing. Very good mitres. All tiles look lovely and flat and clean. No messy grouting. You should be very proud of yourself Kate. Now take down that wooden shelf in the shower!!!!
Thank you Sean - you sound like a wonderful person (who gives me praise which I enjoy). xxxxx

Hey! I defended you from accusations of WOOD!
Travertine is stone.

I did think about using teak as its doesn't get mouldy or making a tile sandwich (two stuck together) but this should be OK. Will get stained a bit with use I guess.

Well done! It's a good diy job and you deserve credit. You deserve more credit for the contemporary way you have used different tiles, textures, patterns, colours etc to end up with an artistic use of tiles exclusive to yourself, which may not be everyone's cup of tea but what a boring world this would be if we all liked and had the same. I do like your enthusiasm and hope that you keep tiling and posting your latest projects!
