Can adhesive colour bleed to stain tiles or grout?
others have more or less answered this above- adhesive will have no affect on tile colour, but could affect stone. Adhesive colour could bleed into grout if not properly dry or if grout covering very thinn due to adhesive not well cleaned from joints. Possibly you may consider using a dark...- Raccus

Hi, i recently completely re-did an upstairs bathroom. Total I charged for all work was around £3800. Checking in to see if you think this is a reasonable price. Job included: -complete gutting of old bathroom, removal of bath, sink, toilet, and about 6msq of old wall tiles and overboarding... -

A query about your comment..... the thought i have, is if normal plaster finish walls can only hold about 20kg psm, how can a dot and dabbed only boards hold more? For arguments sake, say the dot dabs made contact with 20% of the area of the boards, that implies that the dot/dab adhesive is over... -

What do you mean Waluigi, wont be supported properly when placed horizontally? Only because of the need for 30mm centers and he will have 40? But then he will need more studs anyway , even if placing vertically. Also, for boarding stud work, the foam type boards should be minimum 20mm depth...- Raccus

Yes weight limit is close, tiles just over 18kg/msq and mapei say coverage of adhesive is about 2.5kg/msq. They dont say what trowel thats with though. Is there a rule of thumb for adhesive weight? -

Ah thats a good idea Adey, the marble. Was thinking to overhang tile to make a slight lip on window sill if needed, but was a bit uneasy about that look, not to mention danger of tile edge breaking in time. Not keen on the wood idea, because of the water element. And Boggs, Wall opposite... -

Wall tiles are calacatta porcelains, that you can see in bottom right corner of top image. And ya, being mindful of cables. Client wanted bath in asap, as living in the house. So did enough floor to set bath. Now gotta get loo and sink in, before continuing tiling. -
