Porcelain tiles on a screed floor
Hi All I am just about to tile my porch floor which is screeded. The surface is completely sound but is 35 years old having had carpet tiles on it for the entire duration. Do I need to seal it up using something like primer G before I start tiling? Thanks Peter -

Wet room floor membrane

Wetroom floor levelling problem
Yes it is suspended. I had an alternative thought. I have some fairly extensive levelling to do so whilst I am about it I could simply raise the last 450mm up by 4mm relative to the rest. I could then put in a section of 18mm ply, seal it then fleece over the lot. -

I am building a wet room, I have settled on an GRP former and tiled floor however the question is what to grout with. Ordinary cement grout may be ok however it will be wet for much longer than on the wall and is porous. I am presuming that normal grout will mark with grease from feet etc and... -
