Final polishing of mitred edge on thin tile.

Like the look of this and have been doing some searches on mitred corners.. any advice where this should and shouldn't be specified?

I worry that exposed edges in busy areas might be more vulnerable than an edge with a trim. On a 90 corner I assume it's a bit sharper too?

Suppose it depends on the tile but do you generally butt the mitre together tight or leave a space for grout? Or alternatively there's the option of doing mitres into 90 degree corners and also use a thin edged trim that sticks out at 45 degrees.

Your concerns are not without merit Stuart, however, those of us that mitre thin tile as a rule fill all externals with resin, this strengthens and protects the mitred edge, they are also softened by polishing the in to a round wherever possible, this will be material dependant.
It’s our expwythat this is more than adequate to produce a high level of finish and to achieve a seamless look, and besides, I’ve yet to meet a client who wants to see trim, it looks awful with this material in my opinion.

Look here hopefully it’ll give you a better insight, also I have just posted a new album, Flaviker, check that too.
