A question for the mosaic experts - Tile Advice

Been asked to price my first kitchen mosaic splashback in a seriously long time, and the customer is supplying the brick effect type.. but he wants the complete reveals tiled including the heads.. two windows worth.. Maybe im having a dull moment but how do the mosaic folk on here go about doing heads of reveals with such mosaics??

the soffit you mean?

I just run them linear to the long edge of the window. if that is what you mean?

Yeah the soffit (I just always tend to refer to it as the head of the reveal)..

I was more sort of thinking how to secure the mosaics in place without them falling down

Mosaics are light ....the adhesive should hold them in place no problems.

depends on the mosaic edge... is it a finished edge to the mosaic?

I did a steam room ceiling with 10mm thick mosaics they stayed up no problem . .

Jerry what adhesive did you use, bio gel ?

I try and avoid mosaics, to specialist for me

Well when I did it biogel wasn't around and also there is a story about biogel and steam rooms that I don't know the details of but maybe that is what you're getting at. But if was putting mosaics tomorrow in a non aggressive environment I would without doubt be using isomat ak20 or ak22 . For those of you that have gone nowhere near it or biogel the best thing i can describe it as is the old bal mosaic fix but better as it is more user friendly .
