My understanding has been anything above 300mm square. A typical large format these days is 600 x 300

I guess XL Format would be anything above 600 x 1200

Not that it really matters to me. I don’t use anything other than a powdered adhesive no matter what I’m fixing.

I only use poweder addy...never used the tubbed at all. Im thinking that with the 4mm ragni, that if the U notches are 10mm deep 4 mm wide with 4mm spacing that that should give a decent 100% bed of about 3 mm?

Yes probably 2 or 3mm. Difficult to say

I get about a 3mm bed with the tiger trowel.

Cool. I’m going to check the dimensions when the trowel comes. I was confused by the information on the cardboard sleeve of the ragni that arrived today as it stated 4 mmm is for mosaics and tiles upto 100 x 100. Not big tiles.

Ahhh, you’re talking about the Ragni. It confused me when you mentioned 4mm. Gotcha. No the 10mm round notched Ragbi is not for mosaics. It’ll do large format and XL format. I’ve used it on both.
