Levelling clips how many? - Tile Advice

Evening good people, I’ll soon be fixing some large porcelain tiles 600 x 1200s to an area of about 80 Sqmt. My question is how many of both clips and wedges would one order for such an area?
Also im planning on using a 3mm joint throughout so is it recommended that I should buy 1mm clips for ease of removal?

Tommy assuming you’re a professional tiler then my advice would be to order 500 wedges and 2000 clips to start with. Once you’ve tiled a floor with clips I doubt you’ll tile another notable one without them so any that you have left over won’t be there for long. I’d order 1.5mm or 2mm thick clips to give that extra strength and they’d still be fine to pull out as you’re using a 3mm spacer.

Roughly 100+ tiles then...8 per tile, might as well get 1000 but you wont need 1000 wedges unless your planning on laying it all in one day

Thanks Lee yes I is ...... never fixed tiles this big before so I thought I’d give the clips a go... maybe I’m a bit behind the times but it’s never too late to try something new

2000 rls copies off THE auction site £80, tried a few different brands and happy with these.

No, but I'd shell out on the Raymondi for those, cheap pliers don't last 5 minutes

Tommy is having a 3mm joint so why should he buy 1.5 or 2mm clips? Why not a 3mm clip?

Personally, I use 2mm clips on everything and space out with normal spacers if I require a 3mm joint. This just saves me on buying different sized clips for different grout sizes.

Because the clips are harder to remove if there tight in the joint, and more Chance of chipping a tile

That’s what I’ve read on other threads, so I’m not willing to risk damaging the tiles when removing clips

I see your logic Sean but until I become more comfortable using levelling clips I’m going to opt for safe method
