Hi All,

I am going to be tile Metro tiles in my shower on Tanked plasterboard. Can anyone recommend a good value slow setting https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ for the job?

Also what size spacers and notched trowel shall i use, 8mm?

Thanks

Any S1 class https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ will do the job.
Depends which brands are available in your area.
Better off buying from an independent retailer rather than DIY shed.
2mm
Yes, just check for good coverage on your tile periodically. (Fix and then remove)

As @3_fall and @Andy Allen have said, use a slow setting flexible https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/.

If your not keen on using powdered adhesives, something like BAL Greenstar just be wary of the curing time (24 hours plus)

Beware.....Greenstar is NOT a suitable with power showers (includes showers off a combi) . 3 days must be left before grouting (and they advise using epoxy grout!) and 2 weeks must be left before showering.

Read the tech specs......

You can't use green star or any other ready mixed https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ over tanking anyway. Why anyone would use green star for anything is beyond me!

If you have a screwfix near by I think they sell mapei, standard set https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ (powder)

Mapei P9 would be my choice. Mixes and trowels well and it's got a pot life of almost a whole day.
