I remember reading a story about how the Japanese don't throw any porcelain or china ornaments out if damaged they get them repaired with pure gold as it highlights the journey the piece has been thru as in life. But we are speaking about a lot of gold and even they would be gasping and they are really really not short!

Ok so cut in an ebony border around perimeter of every room/area.

Or a contrasting piece of stone with a water jet cut inlay, with the words,

'I've got more money than sense!'

Yes I can tell whose house it is by the colour of the floorboards under the Trav.
There's floorboards, Wedi boards, screed, uncoupling mat. Would you go down the traditional route and try and match in or contemporary? No tripping hazard and don't be boring is what I've been told

You're not being given much to work with have you. One small strip between two areas, hardly a feature wall.
4m x 150m? In 70m2 what kind of statement can you make.
You can get tiles with led's in them, that can project images on to the tiles, even watch Tv, of sorts.
But again, not much width. So at best you could get a pretty pattern changing colour or something similar.
