Has anyone heard about the impending shortage of celotex boards and expanding foam for the construction world? Apparently there was a fire in a factory in Germany where the chemicals are mixed to make the products and due to that happening there is now a shortage and price of celotex sheets has rocketed. Just wondering if there is any truth behind this ......
heard that about 9 months ago. Not sure if its true but still got 100mm at £30 a sheet.
That could explain that haze in South East England on the weekend irritating people's eyes and lungs . But on serious note I think we should be looking for an alternative that doesn't have such a large carbon footprint anyway.

Yeah I don't think it happened a few days ago I got the impression is was a while back, but a guy told me it was slowing the building trades down a tad because people can't get hold of boards
I've heard price was rocketing due to shortages of said chemicals, but in this case for Kingspan.
They seem to have shedloads whenever I go into builders merchants

Any price increase is purely down to Brexit, as is the flooding in Texas and the famine in Ethiopia..
