That is shocking!
You simply wouldn't believe me if I told you how bad it is at times Geoff. The stud walls and plastering can defy belief at times and all I get when I point it out is "well we must get onto them about that, do the best you can for now though"
It can test your patience!

Contracts signed (before issues are known and without exemptions written in)for 100's of houses and responsible for a lot of wages. Just have to suck it up. The flip side was that it was guaranteed work during the recession, all before everything was rosey again, bread and butter if you catch my drift.

They are terrible quality with no real passion put into them, the workers are usually crap and don't care, and the constriction company's just care about the profit. I have worked on some really expensive new builds and there no better, just bigger! My house was built around 1890 and it's packed full of character and I wouldn't have it any other way
Same too my house wasn't built in 1894 and I wouldn't swap it. It still got original coving in a few rooms.
