It's just the same.

A 2 year old van might be £10,000 plus vat = £12,000
Or from somebody who isn't vat registered would be selling the van at £12,000 .
It's just better if your registered to buy it off somebody who is registered, so you get a vat invoice and claim it back.
Nobody's making any money out of it.

If a vehicle is over 5 years old there will be no VAT. So look for one of those.

Or suck it up.

Or register for vat.

Or whatever.

I've been looking at getting a new van, not brand new, around 2015 model, there all plus vat, why is that on a used van ?
What u thinking of getting I'm in the market for a van my self I've bin toying with the idea if one of the nissan nv200 I think it's just big enough for me coz I don't wanna be spending loads on fule I do a minimum of 70 miles a day

I have my eye on a 2013 t5 kombi, gonna look in a week or so at one
Jesus have u bin printing money vw are well expensive van monster in Warrington have loads and loads my mate bought on last year and a neighbour has just bought one to do a camper conversion with it

I've bin toying with the idea if one of the nissan nv200

I've got one. Does about 340 miles to a tank ( 50 litres). There's quite a bit of road noise but mine is on the original rock hard tyres so I'm hoping that will improve when I change them. The Nissan roof rack is rubbish so don't bother with that.
Overall I'm pleased with it.
