The monti would do me as very occasional user unlike yourself. Most days would be 600mm up here! And long may it continue!
Then it'll be a good buy for you Ian.
It'll cut 12mm no problem. Think it specs 15mm.
Long as you're aware on occasion it can slip if you don't maintain a steady and constant pressure when you score, sure you'll have no problems.
He guy I sold mine to is very happy, and he knew why I sold it, didn't hide anything.

Did notice in video Guisseppi just layed it on tile no suction cups or anything
Yeah the newest version has a clamping system, but I've not seen it up close.
The version you've seen is the one I had, and you do just lay it on top. It has two rubber tubes beneath to grip the tile. I even tried fitting two full length Festool anti slip rubber strips underneath.
Worked great till I realised it lifted the cutter 5mm and if I bore down too heavily it deformed the strips and still cut off line! Haha so I removed them.

Thanks for all the info guys , think I'm swinging towards a sigma max as it's what I'm used to . Yeah all these action packed demo videos do tend to pull you in sometimes . The rubi tz does look good but looks like it takes an hour to put together . The only times the sigma struggle for me was using some rock hard glazed porcelain tiles with a rigid grain in them . Could have wet cut them but used the sigma for time saving .
