I tried to enter one last night but, couldn't upload any photos to my post, is there something I'm not doing right?

It's about how much we can do for tilers. There will always be room for improvement and as a one-man-band behind the scenes I think i do pretty well.

But I'll take a look at the menu this week.

:D
I'm not trying to dig you out mate, I've got way more respect for you than that, I just want to be able to use this forum again like I used to, simple quick and easy, no messing. That's all I'm trying to get at.

Thanks for answering your question for me lol

I'm not interested in making the forum anything like facebook. If people want Facebook they have it.

We have the forum here though and it's the forum.

I'm struggling to see how you can't quickly post a thread and add photos like you do on Facebook I've just tested it, it's the same amount of clicks lol

I'm listening mate. I'll take a look in the week. :)

Did you fill in the survey a couple of weeks ago? Got a couple of hundred responses and nearly all said it's mint. New and old members.

Nobody else mentioned the 14 options to ask if grout is patchy mind lol

Who knows better than me, knows the difficulties of the forum? :(
but I not resign myself.
My big problems are continuous changes.
Everything here, but a real bergamasco, never gives up. ;).
Ps dan, the stranger who made the forum. Is an italian ?, :)

I have to agree with Bri that there is a lot going on but I tend to just look at "New Posts" and when that gets up to the hundreds just mark all forums read.
I'll never have to concern myself about entering JOTM.

And this is pretty much what I'm getting at, all this fancy stuff that I'm sure is very useful but, all people want to know is what's new, can I contribute, if not I'll just mark the forums read and carry on.

That's not actually what most people do. I have the stats to show it. Most people here are new and are able to post new threads just fine.

They won't see the new posts page, or have hundreds stacking up, they're new.

I've said about 10 times the same thing that it's too complicated but dan gets all defensive about it. Loads of people saying the same thing, listen to the members !

I'm only giving my opinion:sunglasses:

I had a Nokia 3310 once long time ago, best phone I ever had! Now I have an iPhone 7 and even tho I don't know or use all the features, would I go back to the Nokia? No, people don't like change, never have, but without it we would still be living in caves! Just my opinion :)

I take all feedback on board and listen all the time but i don't think it's always wise to change the whole forum for a couple of people.

I become burried in statistics instead and watch traffic patterns and see what new members do. Because if we make it easy for them to find the right pages then we're doing well.

And if you look, it works, even newbies upload photos to threads just fine. Happens every day.

Dan - I like it!
So just you tell them the facts and call them naughty words - a change is as good as a rest - and I never complain.
Used properly this forum can add a significant amount of work and exceptional contacts to our businesses and for that I'am grateful. It gave me the opportunity to work in the south when I needed to be down there and to this day it allows the choice of work to be varied and interesting.
If members focus on just a few hiccups and failed photos to vent their frustrations then where would we be without the Tilers Forum - my wife originally thought I was spending my time on **** sites, but was relieved and annoyed that I was ignoring her for work. But now she just rolls her eyes and says ' stop annoying people' - me!
