Drilling holes in corners works the same on steel. Reduces stress and cracking. (Previous life was a stellar fabricator)
Not to sure if I was stellar should be steel fabricator

did a porcelain floor just before Xmas .client calls me this week to say that tiles cut around external corners have cracked .been round and they have too even with ditra underneath . Anyone know why this happens . It is certainly not the first time . I really don't think I should be responsible for putting this right , these particular tiles were on sale at b&q but others in past have come from reputable tile suppliers

How did you get on with this job jonnyc? I just looked at a job yesterday that I done a month ago and the very same thing has happened with a 60x60 glazed porcelain, I have layed loads if this type of tile in the same way Over the years and this is a first for me, tiles were hard to split on the sigma does anyone know could this be related to the cracking?

think its just one of those things that are meant to haunt us. just luck whether they crack or not .what pisses me off is that client thinks it is fixer fault not the tile

So if the brakes fail on your car and you hit another car it's your fault. Who do they blame when the washing machine breaks down? The guy who delivered it?

I try to make myself understood.
I state that for now I have never happened, breaking problems.
with grinder never reach the end point of 90 °.
stopping more than 1cm from the point.
break tiles with your hand. then round off with a grinder. inside corner.
I hope you understand. try not cost anything.
