I agree Doug, at this minute I am ashamed to be Scottish with this Libya scandal, deals being done for black gold again.

Working at a large house, for some reason did'nt have the radio on. The owner came home at 3pm and told me while switching the tv on, thought it was somethink out of a Bruce Willis film, total shock. My brother went to New York and visited the site last year, weird, strange feeling when looking at ground zero.

I don't presume to be able to speak for everyone here in the US, but I will say "thank you" for thinking of us and everyone that was lost.

God, I can't believe that people would forget the date????!!!! We rarely have the radio on in the house and went to our usual T'ai Chi class in the evening and everybody was talking about it, they, and we couldn't believe that we hadn't heard. Went home and put the TV on and were shocked to the core, I just felt this is it, this is the beginning of the end of the world. Who cares what country it was in, it is the utter disregard of life, being prepared to go to such length to destroy.... and like Doug I was going through what people must have gone through, too...complete nightmare and no justification whatsoever.

What it has brought home is that humanity will pull together when under thread, but it has also brought home that you cannot end fire with fire, war with war...and who is listening??

it's something that should never be forgotten! people still to this day don't realise how much it has changed our lives,i.e the amount of cctv that has been introduced into our cities, the fact that you can't board a plane from glasgow to london without your passport, everytime you approach an airport you see the amount of security has increased tenfold,it is something that should never be allowed to happen again!

I was working in an office at the time. Pretty much watched everything just after the first plane hit, and was like for the rest of the day and then some.

    Every year I will remember.
