ditto. Thought pools would be block and render or poured concrete. That's if they're not plastic.
I don't see many pool installations myself cos anhydrite is not suitable for that particular application. Mind you some daft bu**ers still do it.

first one and it wasn't my job chris.tiling from here asked me to work on it with him it was the 1st for both of us but not as hard as 1st thought.

up loading pic is a doddle look for the pic of the paper clip just above the text box you type in when replying.

click on it and a pop up will apair with several small boxes with browse writen next to them.

click browse and your pics library should pop up.

find the pic you want to up load click on it

then in the box that had the browse buttons in find one that says upload and click it.

then close the window and carry on replying to the thread.

    job done!

Hi Dave, I hope this isn't too late for you....concrete swimming pools are generally plastered rather than covered in mosaics because of cost. I have a swimming pool in my yard, and I watched the guys plaster it and was amazed at how quickly they did the work.

Here, swimming pool plaster is some sort of pure white portland cement with extremely fine aggregate. I've heard of the name you mentioned: Marblelite.

They say it is waterproof if it is installed correctly, but I have my doubts about that.

Dave, Yes, folks with a lot of $$$$ won't blink an eye at the cost of tiling a pool. For us, we split the cost of the pool with my sister (she lives next door) and that is the only way we could afford it. If this thing is ever going to get covered in mosaics, it is going to have to be done by me and my guys.
