    Default "I'm Old School"

    Yippee Ki Yi A!

Following a prosperous last few jobs (5) in a row, I'm very greatful. Here are a few poetic afterthoughts, for artistic expression. Think of them what you may. For me.....it's release, in a most pleasurable fashion.

    LOFTHOUSE STONE

"I'm the man with the Sea-Green Van, I can do it yes I can....
Got the tools, no time for fools
Well respected Tile Contractor, breakin' all the rules

Whenever I show up, it's right on time, my smile is crooked just like a builder's chalk-line

I'll give a fair bid, you'll be glad I did......
Designers feel threatened LOFTHOUSE is "In" (like Flin)

When I makes a mess, I hauls off the trash, if that ain't good enough..
    I'll mow the grass

Now the Tile is a Shinin', Floor is Level, look at all the edges.....

    They're Beveled.

If you offer me food, I'm always in the mood
gotta keep myself puffy like a wise cool dude

On the way in the door I'll wipe my feet, it's kinda habitual
    religious to me.

To walk on a floor, I laid yesterday
and now I am grouting so get out of my way.

Please keep the dogs and kids in a pin, if you watch me too often
    you know it's a sin

    I'll read the sign again:

    Repair by the hour: $25
    If you help: $30
If you watch & talk $35

Aw....you know you're my customer and in these strange times.....
your business is gold to me, not nickles & dimes.

I'm just an artist, with far too much pride, to sit on my trumpet 'till the Holidays subside.

So please don't you tell me, we'll start after New Years.....
Let's get your shower ready now.......for Santa & the Reindeers.

Your Kitchen will host parties and the Floor will catch the crumbs,
and the one who invented sealer.....well,

    They were not dumb.

Well some say I'm clever, another I'm arrogant.......but sometimes a picture's () the best way to describe it.

Well-To-Do, or Dirt Poor..........I'll always be "Old School"

Just had a look at your myspace page, god it's good. Actually had a look previously, but now I know who you are it means a bit more. Brilliant, artistry at work, and set out of the page is fab, too. Lucky customers of yours...

    Oli,

You're right, and I think we're all the better for it.

MG, I read about your German background. My family is from Germany, my aunt married a German and all my cousins grew up speaking German. In fact, it's only when I meet Germans I can hear my last name pronounced correctly.
