I use U shaped steel shelving brackets. Others use batten wood form the likes of wickes or B&Q and the like and make them up as they need them.

If you really want a "set" give PTS Training a call in Warrington, they sell sets to their students. Will cost around £30 if I recall.

Size will depend on the wall size won't it.

When I used to need to use battons I simply bought wood lengths cut to size and either nailed or glued to the wall.

Others have these fancy things

I pop down to wickes and get a sheet of 12mm wbp ply and get them to cut it into lengths of about 3 1/2" and then cut them down as and when i need them.
