Default 6mm or 8mm

I always use a 6mm trowel on wall tiles but seriously thinking about using a 8mm trowel anybody else use 8mm all the time?

It really depends upon the substrate and the tile format being used doesn't it.......

I take each job at face value and then decide whats best........No 2 tilers work the
same , so you use what suits your style best..........

only used 6mm trowel once in about 6 months. only use 8 and 10mm now

I use 6mm on kitchen splashbacks if walls are smooth,8mm on bathrooms if very flat and smooth otherwise its a 10 all the way.Floors mostly 10mm but 12 and 13mm get used a lot over here as most of the floors are crap !!!. a right pain in the a**.

Really depends on wall conditions and tile type.

I have used 4mm on splashbacks and 6mm on most walls, though I have used 4mm on dry walled walls too.

i use 6MM walls 10MM floors most of time but varies with tile and sub surface

I use my 8mm on almost all of my wall tiling jobs, very rare do i drop down lower i dont see the point in it.

Always use a cement adhesive the deeper the trowel you use, tub gear is only any good with 6mm trowels,
