sorry to butt in guys but i must admit i stand with gaz and oxtiler on the sigma side they are built to last

Have only ever used Rubi TS cutters (apart from my diamond wet wheels) and never had a problem.If you are going to get a TS40 you might as well spend a bit more and get a TS60.There is no comparrison with DIY cutters.They are crap.

think some of the problem lies with sigmas are a bit harder to find in your local tile shops, places like topps all stock rubi cos they ara good product but if more places stocked sigma then we would all have a bigger scope to try differant cutters

To be fair Rubis are built to last as well. We had a guy who reluctantly had to replace his trusted rubi cutter after 10 years of use. Rubi also now guarantee their cutters for 5 years as well.

I've seen Rubi's well in their teens and still in action, pretty much everything is replaceable.

i have a ts 40 that is 13 yrs old and only just now does it need new parts,,but have replaced it with a ts50+..so hope this serves me as long if not longer........dave..
