As the title states. I've asked this in a previous post, but didn't get a proper answer, so, again: Has anyone tried one? I really need a new main cutter now, and I'm oh so very tempted to buy one of these, but paying 160£ or so, without verification that it's good from someone who's tried it, simply won't do.
It looks ok to me. I think many of the guys will trust a Rubi though over some of the other brands. Though I'm trying to collate some cutter names to post a poll to really find out what cutters are most used by the trade so keep checking the tools forum over the next week.

Wow, that's a vote of confidence for Rubi
Just kidding Good to know, but I won't buy a Rubi dry cutter. They're generally very good, but I just didn't like the ones I've tried. Dunno why. Guess I didn't like "the feel".
hey SWE, whatever works for the individual...
but RUBI have a reputation that exceeds all tilers expectations.....there is a reason for that.....i have had a RUBI ts 40 for 10 years...........i once gave one to a tiler in oman....he said he will sleep with it because of how useful it was and he did not want anyone to steal it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honest!
I'm currently using a Sigma as main cutter. It used to work well, but wear is starting to show, mostly due to outdoors work this winter. Lots of sand, grime, dampness, temperature changes... Damn thing lots pretty corroded, and the breaker doesn't slide, it stutters, even when lubed. I need a new cutter, and I need it soon, but I want it to be deluxe, as well as a bit different. The Supercut seems to fit the bill, but I won't buy one before I get a review. If I can't get a review soon, I'll probably get a Montolit.
i would get a new sigma if thats what u r used to! ....i dont mind sigma cutters...its just that in the u.k you can buy spares v.easy for rubi(not to mention they are great once you get used to them)...breakers,breaker arms, guides, guide screws... you get the picture, even if its broke its cheap to repair.....unlike buying a new machine.........
p.s you are a fantastic tiler with the cutter you are used to.....not a different one....even if it is a guccci.....ahem
Hi there, is Milan. Im originally from the Czech Rep. and i used there Tomecanic2160 for more than 7 years and never had any problem. This cutter cuts on mm's absolutely perfect! Only what needs from time to time very proper clean. I do tiling for more than 15 years and i never seen better tile cutter. At the moment i use something from USA, but i search and want to buy this great cutter here in the UK is again.
my friend has one of these, its a reasonable cutter although he always asks to borrow my nuova superpro on porcelain ,i looked at the montolits at the tile and stone show and these look like the best in my opinion but i dont own one so i can only guess .
I've had a supercoup for years, awesome bit of kit. Really is in a different league to a Rubi until you get to a TXn which my brother got. Find the large wheel sometimes causes problems with heavily textured tiles or poorly glazed tiles, other than that superb. Not found anything I can't break with it.
The nuova superpro looks to be based on the same head as the supercoup, same bearing housings, rail, arm - so it must be good!
Discuss Has anyone tried the Tomecanic Supercut? at the Tiling Tools within the TilersForums.co.uk | Tile Forums | Tiling Forum; As the title states. I've asked this in a previous post, but didn't get a ...
