Question Armeg vs Macrist

Evening people - Happy New Year to you all!!

Well, it's a New Year and started a new tiling job today. I need to drill 8 holes on this job. 3 for the Sink, 2 for the Toilet and 3 for the Shower. I've got away with smart cutting and hiding cuts but am wondering how you more experienced tilers cope with this.

I thought I'd like to try creating a really super neat finish by buying either the Armeg Porcelain Set or the Macrist Set so that I can get the right holes for the right pipes rather than messing about with smart cutting and hiding cuts.

What I'd like to know is which one of the 2 you all recommend more highly? and if you all actually bother with buying the full sets?

Cheers!

I have used the armeg cutters they are great but pricey....if you only occasionally cut holes in porcelain then why not try the hole cutters from 365 drills.... http://www.365drills.com/

I have had a set for a while now and they are still cutting holes....you can a good few holes out of them..depending on how you treat them...read the threads in here and then make your mind up from there and for the price it's worth getting and giving them a go... http://www.tilersforums.co.uk/tile-d...gh-tiles-like/

I've just worked in a showroom and I'd bought the 365 set for the job cause I wanted a good finish, one of the other tilers had the armeg set and they were good but it took ages to get out his water pump system out.I flew through them with the 365 set.
I always add the price of a kit to a job aswell.

The 365 Drills set is great value - http://www.buybrandtools.com/acatalo...ain-Tiles.html

We have also got Rubi Kits- http://www.buybrandtools.com/acatalo...ling-Kits.html

We dont have the Marcrist Drilling Kits on the site yet but we should have them in the near future
