any body know ANY GOOD TRUSTWORTHY AMERICAN TOOL SUPPILERS ON LINE. KEEP MEANING TO GET A GOOD WET CUTTER TO BUSY TO GET ONE BEFORE CHRISTMAS NO TIME. SO I THOUGHT ABOUT U.S. FIRMS WHAT WITH THE EXCHANGE RATE. BUT DOES THAT MEAN U.S. PRICES WOULD BE MORE EXPENSIVE BECAUSE OF EXCHANGE RATE ANTHING TO SAVE A FEW BOB. WOULD APPERICATE ANY INFO, CHEERS.

Hi Bob, if you are going to buy from the States, you will probably need to use your credit card for the purchase. You will be governed by the exchange rate applied by your CC provider not what you buy or where you buy from. In addition, depending on how the supplier packages and describes the goods, you will need to pay at least VAT on entry to the UK and, possibly, import duty as well, depending on what you buy. Add on to this the cost of carriage and you will see you will have to be very careful to make it cheaper. Also, what if you need to return the goods?

Hello from Germany. If you want to buy in the US I can say from my experience:
- Electric tools: Power supply the same ? US Electric coupling fits in UK power supply socket?
- Hand held tools: If it is neccessary I would compare the tool dimensions what is normal in UK and normal in the US.
- Quality + Warranty: How about?
- Delivery + customs: Does a price difference still exist if I have to pay a lot for customs + delivery?

May be you are more lucky buying at ebay.
