Default grouting

Has anyone used a grouting/pointing gun like the one in tradetiler.com?

Are they a must have or a load of old cobblers?

I got one for re pointing an extension for a paying customer. Absolutely bang on for that purpose.

Dunno about the tiles though? Seems like a good idea for big areas / natural stone type installations?

Often thought of trying one matty but never have. Dont think it would be any quicker than conventional method. Do you use a washboy and if so which one?

I bought the karl dahm one from trade tiler about two years ago, its fantastic mate! I've replaced the sponges a couple of times, you can buy them separately and stick them with spray glue, incidently i cleaned out my washboy yesterday afternoon, it was like a roughcasted wall inside! I would defo recommend that one though, leaves the job spotless in no time at all, great over large areas, i recently grouted 70m2 in about 2 hours and that incuded application!

Tile rite sponges are v.good - I have a plasplugs washboy and the sponge fell off after 1 job. Had the tile rite one about a year now, and still going strong.
