For small quantities mix by hand.
This saves getting the mixer dirty and creating more work.
If you must then get a small paint mixer paddle and a battery drill.

I mix up to about 1/3 to 1/2 a bucket of addy with a scraper, saves cleaning the whisk.

i mix by hand a lot, i only use the mixer for floors. it only takes a few minutes with a 2" by 1" to mix a full bucket. it would take more time to get the drill out the box and to clean it after

Small amounts get mixed by hand with my bucket trowel, a food mixer isn't going to do it imho, but hey ho, what ever works for you.
